drip photos

To create this effect I had set the shutter speed to 1/16, which is quite fast and I had to take several pictures to capture the crown and find the picture I like.

paragraph for the two photographers (Prezi)

Both photographers do both fun and interesting areas of photography, I would prefer to do Music Photographer because it is fun and energetic, you meet certain artists and do still photographs. Whereas I would enjoy doing Marco Photography, exposing different sides of things like the cute of a dog. In conclusion both photography are similar, in order to do these you have to have the passion for the areas of photography.

Experimental Photography: Blurred Motion

in order to take this picture i had to set the shutter speed to 1/20 which is quite slow and had to hold the camera steady, and time it so that I could capture the cars in view with the blurr effect.

Experimental Photography: Zoom

In order to create this effect I had to change the camera from AF (auto focus) to MF (Manual Focus) and then take a picture whilist zooming in to the object. to create this effect.

Experimental Photography: Pan

In order to achieve these types of photos you must set the camera to Tv, which concentrates on the shutter speed on the camera. Next you would need to adjust the shutter speed from 13" to 1/40 then set your camera upon an moving object, and follow the moving object and take the picture whlist panning.

Ident Evlaution

In this task, we had to create an ident, so we got into a group of 3 and decide to create a channel ident for CWC. we had to show our ideas for it, so we put on three different mindmaps and chose which one we should definatly do, which was the 'Flickering Book' but we added a few bits to make the ident orignal and creative. During this process we found it kind of hard to create the idea that we wanted but in the end we made it work.
The feedback we got from the people watching our ident was good, they said it was creative and that the music goes with it. So i am very happy with that, i'm sure we could have done a little bit better like make a better ending.
We fused to different types of animations together, which is Clay animation and Cut-Out animation, which worked out to our advantage, and we created an ident which was better than the idea we came up with. Also we managed to do the ident within the time limit of 35seconds.
We had put a video pitch to explain what we were doing in our animation.
Overall i think we have done a great job for a ametaur animation.

Evaluation of claymotion

Clay animation is stopmotion but with the use of clay to create the characters other than using cut out paper with pictures on it, an example of a clay character which became quite famous is Morph. Which was success because it attracted childrens attention and kept them entertained with the childish comedy and gibberish that suits babies.
Gumbasia was the first succesful clay animation, which was created into a short film lasting 3mins. The Strengths of clay amination that it is more creative, and and it looks close to animation.
There are certain limitations to clay animation, which is that you can only do certain shots doue to the fact that the camera could only be placed in one position.

Comedy sketch StopMotion

The technique we used to create this stop motion, was we cut out images from the various magazines, and planned out what we where going to do using a storyboard. We moved the images once per frame, and then exported it to fcp and put to on sound effects and voice overs to complete the stop motion. There are various examples to do with this type of animation, such as;
Examples of cut-out animations which are; South Park, Phonejacker.
Example of someone who has used this technqiue; Edwin S. Porter, who created 'Jack and the beanstalk'
This technique is good because we do not have to draw the pictures by hand, instead we used images from newspaper and magazines. On the other hand the technique is bad because it can be very time-consuming.
Ours was sucessful but just needed to make it longer, and make sure the the audio is louder and clearer and add another scene into it to make it more interesting.

Eaweard Muybridge

Eaweard Muybridge is a photograpgher who spent most of his time in the united states but he also influenced in film making. He was labelled a 'justifiable homicide' because he found out that his wife had a lover and Eaweard sought the lover out and killed him, people in his defence pleaed insanity due to a head injury which changed his personality to erratic and unstable.
He is famous for his uses of multiply cameras to capture motion, his zoopraxiscope, and motion pictures.
Muybridge managed to capture motion by using multiple cameras or zoopraxiscope, he proved that horses fly when they gallop by getting multiple cameras and using a tripwire to trigger when the horse steps on the tripwire and then he collected the pictures and puts them together to create a stop motion animation.
I created the experiment by using 6 macs and 6 people and 1 person to do the walking by and collected the pictures from each macs and put them together making sure it each fps was correct.

Zoetrope

Zoetrope is an equitment used in the old days in the cinemas, used to show and create animations. The video above is an example of a zoetrope at work, by using a comic strip and drawing a little ball onto it going up and down. On paper it looks simple but then once it is put onto the zoetrope and spun around it looks like a moving animation.

Persistance of vision is when we see the flickering light whlist watching the movie on the screen we beileve that it is continuois and because of the flashes that we keep seeing on the scree of at least every one-tenth of a second, thanks to the persistance of this vision we cannot tell when the flash ends or starts.

The Disadvantages of using a Zoetrope is that you could break the illusion by simply looking at the top of the drum. Another disadvantage is that the narrative has to be circular and the freeze frames are limited.
The Advantages of using a Zoetrope is that it animate the simple comic strips used.

intro to channel ident

All channel idents have in common is that at the end of the indent they all have the logo showing at the end, for example sky one after showing the trees and show them growing we see the logo 'Sky One' telling us that we are watching the shows on Sky one.

They also have calm instrumentals with no voiceovers, so that the voiceovers can talk about the show comming on next, for example e4 shows the animated background with an instrumentals before the voiceover comes on to talk about the next show.

Organizing files on final cut

step 1: import your files onto the fcp
Step 2: create a bin using the keys; Command, shift, B and label the bin and then put the files into the bin

Step 3: once you've put all the files into a bin and labelled them, you then label the footage or audio as good or bad
